🌲Forests

/bois opens the map of the 25 forests, from the Village Forest to the World Tree. Job: Lumberjack. Tool: the evolving axe.

How it works

One axe hit brings down the whole tree. It falls, and you pick up its logs. A sapling starts again in its place.

A tree goes through four ages: sapling, young, adult, ancient (about three minutes in total). The older it is, the more logs it gives (from 3 to 12). Your call: chop it now, or come back later.

What you can see before chopping

When a tree is ancient, you can see from afar whether it hides something:

• A heart in the trunk (golden or astral): big rewards.
• A beehive in the leaves: more loot.
• A mutation (lush, golden, ancient, rainbow): the loot is multiplied.

To earn more

• The felling chain: keep chopping without stopping.
• Sap: a gauge that fills as you chop. When it's full, it starts 45 seconds of frenzy where stumps grow back as adults.
• The herbarium: every new kind of tree you chop fills a slot, and each slot adds a little wood forever.
• The colossus: every 12 to 18 minutes, a thousand-year-old tree grows in a forest. It takes dozens of hits, often from several players, and the wood is shared based on each player's hits.

Selling wood

Logs from the forests sell at the sawmill, in the /bois menu. Bark sells at the shop. From level 6, the axe can sell everything on its own.

An ancient tree sometimes drops a rare island tree sapling. Plant it on your island: see island trees. Trees also give sap drops for industry.
