⚔️PvP

PvP happens in the warzone (/warzone or /pvp) and in duels. On faction islands it is disabled.

⏱️ The combat tag

Hitting or being hit tags you for 15 seconds, refreshed on every hit. During that window:

• /tpa, /tpahere, duels and the casino are blocked;
• teleports ask for confirmation (can be turned off in /settings);
• disconnecting while tagged counts as a death.

🎒 Inventory caps

Pearls have a 15 second cooldown, and golden apples only take effect inside the PvP zone.

🛡️ The damage and armour curve

Linesia does not use the vanilla formula. Reduction is computed in two stages, then a global slider divides what is left.

• Armour grants a 20 % floor as soon as one piece is worn, then 3 % per armour point, capped at 80 %.
• Protection removes 2.8 % per level of what armour let through, capped at 45 %.
• The combination of both is capped at 90 %, then divided by 1.75.

Armour points for a full set: farm 7, diamond 14, amethyst 16, ruby 18, onyx 20.

In practice, with a set and a sword of the same tier, a hit takes 0.5 to 1.2 hearts, meaning 9 to 18 hits in raw gear and 11 to 25 fully enchanted. Soups do the rest.

• Sharpness adds +0.5 damage per level.
• A jump hit adds half the weapon damage.

🏆 PvP points

A kill is worth 20 base points, corrected by three factors.

• The victim's gear: the better geared they are, the more the kill pays (factor 0.7 to 1.45).
• The gear gap: killing someone far weaker divides gains by 4, killing someone stronger raises them up to ×1.3.
• Numbers: outnumbered, gains go up to ×1.5; outnumbering, they drop to ×0.5.

Inside the PvP mine at the centre of the warzone, the total is doubled.

The victim loses 5 points, and players who dealt at least 4 damage in the last 10 seconds get 40 % of the gain as an assist.

🗡️ Gear

• Swords: diamond 6 damage, amethyst 7, ruby 8, onyx 9.
• Armour: four tiers, plus farm armour for farming.
• Sticks: 13 sticks with unique effects, almost all warzone only.
• Special items: switch ball, web trap, bump, anti-pearl blocks.

⚠️ Nothing works against a member of your faction or an allied one: the damage is simply cancelled.
