🔥The Nether mine
The Nether mine opens at prestige 20. The only way in is /nether (alias /minenether): every other teleport is refused, prestige or not.
The ore pool
Just like the surface mine, a broken ore regenerates on the spot 8 seconds later, and the roll follows your Miner level.
| Ore | Miner level | Below lv. 8 | Lv. 8 to 15 | Lv. 16 and up |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nether ruby ore (random) | 1 | 100 % | 74.5 % | 70 % |
| Pure Nether ruby | 8 | 25.5 % | 24 % | |
| Nether onyx ore (random) | 16 | 6 % |
What the ores drop
Nether ore is far more generous than surface ore.
| Ore | Loot |
|---|---|
| Nether ruby (random) | 36.6 % a Ruby Fragment, 63.4 % an Amethyst Ingot |
| Pure Nether ruby | 2 Ruby Fragments (the only ore with a doubled base drop) |
| Nether onyx (random) | 3.0 % an Onyx Shard, 52.5 % a Ruby Fragment, 44.6 % an Amethyst Ingot |
For comparison, the surface random ruby ore only drops a fragment 8.9 % of the time.
The magma larva
Every ore broken in the Nether zone has a 1 in 23 chance of dropping a magma larva. It is the only bait that survives lava, so it is the sole way to feed lava fishing with the ruby rod.
Worth remembering
- The steel ingot drops anywhere you mine, 1 time in 1,500. It is the starting ingredient for generators.
- Your pickaxe fortune multiplies the loot: ×1.33 on average with amethyst, ×1.75 with ruby, ×2.20 with onyx.
