๐Enchantments
Enchantments are bought with money, with the item in hand: /menu then Enchantment, or the enchanting table ($1,000 at the shop).
There is no randomness: you pick the enchantment and the level, you pay, it is applied. There are no books either, and Minecraft experience levels are useless.
The 5 enchantments
| Enchantment | Applies to | Max level |
|---|---|---|
| Protection | Armour | 4 |
| Sharpness | Swords | 5 |
| Unbreaking | Anything with durability | 3 |
| Efficiency | Tools (not swords or bows) | 5 |
| Punch | Bows | 2 |
Prices
| Level | Protection | Sharpness | Unbreaking | Efficiency | Punch |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| I | $100 | $200 | $100 | $100 | $1,000 |
| II | $200 | $400 | $200 | $200 | $2,500 |
| III | $400 | $700 | $500 | $400 | |
| IV | $700 | $1,000 | $800 | ||
| V | $1,500 | $1,000 |
You pay the price of the target level, not the sum of all levels. Going straight from nothing to Protection IV costs $700.
An item already enchanted at or above the target level is refused.
What they do
- Protection removes 2.8 % of damage per level, applied after armour, capped at 45 %. Protection IV on all four pieces is calibrated to cancel exactly one enemy Sharpness V. See the damage and armour curve.
- Sharpness adds 0.5 damage per level.
- Unbreaking gives a chance of not consuming durability equal to
level / (level + 1): 50 % at level 1, 67 % at level 2, 75 % at level 3. - Efficiency speeds up block breaking.
- Punch increases arrow knockback.
Fortune
Fortune is built into tools according to their material, from 0 on diamond to 3 on onyx. It cannot be bought or added.
